Kallaroo is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia
and is about 21 kms north-northwest of WA's
capital city of Perth. In the 2011 Australian census
the population of Kallaroo was 5,151 when there
were 2,642 Females and 2,509 Males living there.
Kallaroo is one of the four 'Whitfords' suburbs that
resulted from the State Government rezoning
large areas of coastal land for development in
1969.
Kallaroo was chosen as a suburb name in 1970 and
is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘road to the water’.
