Eppalock is a suburb of Northern Victoria,
Victoria and is about 115 kms north-northwest of
VIC's capital city of Melbourne. In the 2011
Australian census the population of Eppalock
was 613 when there were 291 Females and 322
Males living there. The median age for people
living in Eppalock was 39.
Lake Eppalock is located on the Campaspe
River, near Bendigo in central Victoria. Lake
Eppalock is a reservoir in North Central
Victoria, Australia, about 130 kilometres (81 mi)
northwest of Melbourne. It was formed by the
construction of a major earth and rockfill
embankment dam, known as Eppalock Dam,
with a controlled chute spillway across the
Campaspe and the Coliban rivers. The lake is
situated between the regional population
centres of Bendigo and Heathcote and serves
as a major water storage facility for both
places, as well as the Campaspe irrigation
district. Lake Eppalock also serves as a popular
sports and recreational facility.
