Beachport is a suburb of South, South Australia
and is about 311 kms south-southeast of SA's capital
city of Adelaide. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Beachport was 878 when there were
425 Females and 453 Males living there. The
median age for people living in Beachport was 46.
Beachport is located at the northern end of Rivoli
Bay, in the Wattle Range Council. Beachport has a
large crayfishing fleet, and is known for its 772-
metre long jetty, the second-longest in South
Australia after the one at Port Germein. The
locality of Thornlea is wholly contained within
Beachport.
