Tolga is a suburb of Northern, Queensland and is
about 1378 kms northwest of QLD's capital city of
Brisbane. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Tolga was 2,426 when there were
1,222 Females and 1,204 Males living there.
Tolga is a town and locality on the Atherton
Tableland in the Tablelands Region in Far North
Queensland, Australia. Tolga is the centre of the
region's peanut industry.
Tolga, a rural town, is 45 km southwest of Cairns
and five km north of Atherton. It is on the western
side of the Atherton Tableland, where the coach
road passed from Herberton to Port Douglas.
