Karama is a suburb of Northern Territory,
Northern Territory and is about 11 kms northeast of
NT's capital city of Darwin. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Karama was 4,845 when
there were 2,412 Females and 2,433 Males living
there. The median age for people living in Karama
was 30.
Karama is a working class Northern suburb of
Darwin. Some major features of the area include
the Karama Primary School, Manunda Terrace
Primary School, Holy Family Primary School,
O’Loughlin Secondary College and Karama
Shopping Plaza.

Shopping Plaza, and is a service of Darwin City
Council Libraries.
