Bungunya is a suburb of Western, Queensland and
is about 348 kms west-southwest of QLD's capital
city of Brisbane. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Bungunya was 189 when there were
87 Females and 102 Males living there. The median
age for people living in Bungunya was 31.
Bungunya, meaning "dry camp", is a pretty town
with all residents helping to maintain and keep the
area looking great.
Bungunya is a small harvest town that becomes a
hive of activity during the wheat harvest.
