Onslow is a suburb of Northern, Western Australia
and is about 1150 kms north of WA's capital city of
Perth. In the 2011 Australian census the population
of Onslow was 667 when there were 315 Females
and 352 Males living there.
Onslow is a coastal town in the Pilbara region of
Western Australia.
In spite of consistently good rainfall on the inland
sheep stations since the late 1960s, a change in
focus of Onslow's economy has developed from
wool to tourism. Onslow is an access point for
Coral Coast activities, such as scuba diving on the
coral reefs offshore from the town.
