Federal is a small town in the Sunshine Coast
hinterland region of Queensland, Australia.
Federal is located near the towns of Cooran and
Pomona. Federal is within the local government
area of Shire of Noosa (between 2008 and 2013 it
was within Sunshine Coast Region). At the 2011
Australian Census Federal recorded a population
of 320, when there were 158 Females and 162
Males living there. The median age for people
living in Federal was 42.
Federal is a suburb of South Eastern, Queensland
and is about 121 kms north of QLD's capital city of
Brisbane.
