Wales and is about 104 kms west-northwest of
NSW's capital city of Sydney. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Hartley was 299 when

Hartley is located below the western escarpment
of the Blue Mountains. Today Hartley is nothing
more than a couple of churches, an impressive
sandstone Court House, and about a dozen
buildings many of which are unoccupied.
