The old gold mining town of Bendoc lies in a little
valley at the foot of Mt Delegate the only free
standing mountain in Victoria’s Great Dividing
Range.
Bendoc is 110 km north-west of Orbost, on the
edge of the Monaro tablelands close to the
New South Wales border.
At the 2011 census of Bendoc, farming accounted
for 36.2 percent of employment and timber
logging and milling 7.4 percent (down from 22.9
