Wongan Hills is a suburb of South East & Central,
Western Australia and is about 144 kms northeast
of WA's capital city of Perth. In the 2011 Australian
census the population of Wongan Hills was 1,127
when there were 546 Females and 581 Males living
there.
Wongan Hills is a town in the Shire of Wongan-
Ballidu, in the Wheatbelt region of Western
Australia. The town is at an altitude of 286 metres.
Wongan Hills is named for a nearby range of hills
that are found to the north-west of the town
The area is best known for its diversity of wild
flowers with more than 1400 species of flowering
plants and 24 species unique to Wongan Hills.
