Waroona is a town located in the Peel region of
Western Australia along the South Western
Highway, between Pinjarra and Harvey. Waroona is
the seat of the Shire of Waroona. At the 2011
census, Waroona had a population of 2,157
The Shire of Waroona stretches from the Indian
Ocean to the Darling Range. The small town is
known primarily for servicing the surrounding
beef, dairy farming and forestry communities.
Waroona is located 110 km south of Perth via the
Kwinana Freeway.
