The Gleniffer valley is located approximately 12
kms north west of Bellingen on the mid north
coast of NSW.
Within the Gleniffer valley are the local areas of
Gleniffer, Promised Land, Tallowood Point and
Gordonville. The Never Never River with its
headwaters in the Dorrigo National Park flows
through the valley and past the Gleniffer Hall.
The Gleniffer School of Arts Hall celebrated its
centenary in 2008 it is constructed on land
donated by Nicholas Keough one of the early
settler families.
To get to Gleniffer the main access is via
Bellingen. Cross the Bellinger River (turn north
at the Post Office) and following the road signs
to Glennifer. This road is sealed all the way but
is a narrow road winding through the forest.
You can also travel directly to Gleniffer from
the Pacific Highway. Take the Bonville turnoff
(south of Coffs Harbour). Turn into Gleniffer
Road to Valery, and continue west on Timboon
Road through Tuckers Nob State Forest until
you reach Gleniffer.
