Failford is a locality in the Mid-Coast Council local
government area on the Mid North Coast of New
South Wales, Australia. Located to the east of the
Pacific Highway, Failford is about 15
km (9 mi) northwest of Forster. At the 2011 census
it had a population of 495. Located on the Mid
North Coast of New South Wales, the suburb of
Failford is about 229 kilometres away from the
capital city of Sydney. Some of the geographical
features that surround Failford are Frogalla Big
Swamp, Nine Mile Beach and Bull Hill, to name a
few. Failford has eighbouring tourist spots as well,
including Seal Rocks Holiday Park, which is located
on the shores of the Pacific Ocean, and Villa D'Esta
Vineyards, which is a small privately owned
vineyard that houses two wineries and 12 acres of
grape vines.
