Darawank is a small village located approximately
10 km north along the Lakes Way
Road towards Taree where the road meets the
Wallamba River. Darawank is located at 32.12°S

Darawank is a suburban town located in the local
government area of the Great Lakes Council in the
state of New South Wales.
Historical records show that the first signs of
settlement in the area of Darawank took place
from the late 1820s. During that time, the early
settlers used the land primarily for farming. Today,
agriculture and grazing still remain a major part of
the suburb and its surrounding areas. There are
several major features, landmarks and
recreational facilities near and within Darawank.
