Bugaldie is a locality within the local
government area of the Warrumbungle Shire
in the central western region of New South
Wales. The Warrumbungle Shire incorporates
Binnaway, Coonabaraban, Coolah, Baradine,
Dunedoo and Mendoorah. It was created in
2004 when the Coolah and Coonabaraban
councils merged. Bugaldie is near the
Warrumbungle National Park, which is a
heritage-listed national park that is about
23,311 hectares in size and 550 kilometres from
Sydney. The park is situated within the Pilliga
Important Bird Area because it is the home of
many woodland birds that are considered
threatened. It can be accessed via
Coonabaraban through the John Renshaw
Parkway.
