Birchgrove is located 5 kilometres west of the
Sydney central business district, in the local
government area of the Inner West Council.
Birchgrove is located on the north-west slope of
the Balmain peninsula, overlooking Sydney
Harbour, and includes Yurulbin and Ballast Points.
Balmain is the only adjacent suburb.
